    BROADWOODKELLY  VILLAGE  HALL

BROADWOODKELLY NEWS AND EVENTS.

                                                                      NOVEMBER 2024.

PIZZA EVENING.

The village hall hosted a brilliant Pizza evening on Saturday, 26th October, kindly organised by the Estaugh and Sterritt family, along with Christopher Tettenborn. The hall decoration and music put everyone in the mood with an Italian theme. While the delicious home-made pizzas were being cooked outside in two pizza ovens, the guests were kept amused with an Italian themed quiz, while they nibbled on fresh garlic bread made by Christopher. I think we can say everyone had a fantastic time, while also raising £158 for the village hall. A huge thank you to our Pizza chefs James and Ed, also the kitchen staff, Kirstin and Lizzie, and our Baker Christopher, and not to forget the amazing serving staff Alfie, Lexie and Seb.

CHRISTMAS PARTY.

The Village Hall Committee and Friends of All Hallows will be holding a Christmas Party on Friday, 6th December at 6.00pm for the whole community, and especially to thank everyone who has supported us in the past year. Starting with carols around the tree outside, weather permitting, before everyone moves inside to enjoy lovely Christmas fare, and mulled cider. There will also be a choice of soft drinks available. A raffle, plus a cash licenced bar if required. The evening is free to everyone in the parish. Everyone is welcome, so please do come along to join us all to start off the season of goodwill and festivities.

              CHURCH SERVICES.

The church services in Broadwoodkelly in the run up to Christmas are as follows.

Sunday,   17th November at 11.00 am Holy Communion

Sunday,   15th December at 11.00 am Holy Communion

Tuesday, 24th December at 3pm Crib Service

CHURCHYARD.

Our fantastic team who cut and maintain our lovely churchyard, have asked if anybody walking their dog

through the churchyard could ensure they pick up after them. Sadly, they encounter several nasty surprises

each time they are mowing. Thank you. (The same of course applies throughout the Parish)
